New Homes

A range of much-needed new housing at Elms Park would provide accommodation for:

• Families
• First-time buyers
• Retirees
• The elderly
• Key workers

Up to 4,115 high quality new homes would be developed with up to 35 per cent of these being ‘affordable homes’ for local people currently unable to access housing on the open market.

Elms Park would provide a range of different housing types and styles, from flats and bungalows to semi-detached and detached homes. A new range of one and two bedroom flats and smaller homes would be specifically designed with first-time buyers in mind.

A dedicated ‘care village’ is proposed adjacent to the district centre providing accommodation and facilities for the elderly in a managed setting
