As well as housing needs, the Joint Core Strategy identifies the need for new employment space to accommodate the expansion of existing companies and new businesses moving to the area in modern, energy efficient premises.
Elms Park proposes a 10-hectare Business Park which faces onto the Tewkesbury Road, adjacent to the Kingsditch Trading Estate. It is the only site in Cheltenham able to offer this amount of space in one consolidated location.
The development would plug directly into a nationwide superfast broadband network, offering high speed internet for both businesses and residents, providing an attractive proposition that could encourage more hi-tech businesses to the area.
Through the development of Elms Park, around 5,000 new jobs would be generated, providing approximately £200 million to the local economy
